The Renaissance Innovation Center (RIC) is a community-driven Resource and Innovation Hub located in Pece Prison Subward, Gulu City. It was established to respond to the urgent need for youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and access to opportunities in Northern Uganda.

In a region where unemployment rates are high and access to modern educational tools is limited, RIC provides a safe, inclusive, and innovative learning environment for young people, women, and refugee communities.

What We Offer

1. Access to Knowledge and Learning Resources
   • A fully equipped community library with textbooks, reference materials, and self-learning guides.
   • Access to Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and digital learning platforms, giving learners exposure to global knowledge.
   • A dedicated e-learning space where students and job seekers can build skills at their own pace.
2. ICT Training and Digital Literacy
   • Basic and advanced computer literacy training for youth, women, and vulnerable groups.
   • Practical skills in data entry, digital communication, coding, and freelancing tools.
   • Training on emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, mobile data collection, and data analytics.
3. Job Readiness and Employability
   • Job readiness training covering CV writing, interview skills, communication, and workplace etiquette.
   • Tailored sessions for digital remote jobs, preparing young people to compete in the global gig economy.
   • Specialized mentorship for youth in refugee settlements, enabling them to access employment opportunities beyond their local communities.
4. Job Linkage Services
   • Connecting trained youth with employers, recruitment agencies, and freelance platforms.
   • Support in creating digital work profiles and portfolios.
   • Hosting job fairs and networking sessions with local businesses and development partners.
