Uganda and Africa at large have a youthful population, yet unemployment remains high. ODI invests in practical, hands-on training that gives young people the skills to succeed.
What We Do:
- Apprenticeship-based training through hubs like the Nwoya Skills Hub.
- Skills in trades such as carpentry, tailoring, welding, and ICT.
- Lifelong learning through the Nexus Adult School.
- Linking skills training to certification through DIT (Directorate of Industrial Training).
- Promoting job creation and self-employment opportunities.
Impact Goal:
Develop a skilled and competitive workforce that drives inclusive economic growth and reduces youth unemployment.
